Safety Director

In the construction industry, "Safety is Job #1." The safety director plays the most important role there is. This professional's job has important aspects in the office AND in the field. The safety director plans, arranges, coordinates and executes safety training programs for employees. The safety director also ensures that on-site inspections are carried out on a regular basis and that any corrections are made immediately before work continues.

Along with hands-on duties, it is the safety director's responsibility to constantly update his/her knowledge of safety compliance laws and new trends in their industry that help keep workers safe. It is often this professional's responsibility to ensure that a company establishes and maintains a 'safety-driven culture' to make sure that everyone gets home safe and sound at the end of each and every working day.
