RooferThe roofer has the "top job" on a building project. Without adequate overhead protection, a building is susceptible to all kinds of damage from water and the elements. Working commercially, construction roofers build large, flat roofs as well as pitched roofs of all sizes. Protecting the investment is the roofer’s challenge. On flat roofs, successive layers of insulation and other types of overlapping protective fabrics, workers seal seams and build up a required number of “plies” to complete the roof, then the surface is either glazed or gravel is added. |
