It takes heavy equipment to perform a variety of the biggest chores on construction sites. Many equipment operators today learned their skills on the job, but as with all fields of the construction profession, more and more graduates are coming from Maine's construction education programs and moving right into good jobs in their chosen specialty. Education makes the difference and there are great training programs throughout the state.
