It is this professional's role to oversee all aspects of a project through completion and finished delivery. The Superintendent serves as the construction company's primary representative on a job site. It is the Superintendent's role to ensure that all stages of a construction project from preparation of plans and startup, to inspection and quality control meet established finished criteria. Demonstrated leadership skills, technical expertise and the ability to coordinate and motivate staff, as well as build strong relationships with project owners and other commerce partners, are important aspects of the superintendent's skill set. In terms of the on-the-ground fieldwork of a construction project, the superintendent is the top management position. |
