Heavy Equipment and Coool Tools

The most recognizable icons of the construction profession are - arguably - machines. Whether it's the grader smoothing the new highway offramp under construction, or a crane towering over a downtown's skyline, nothing draws more attention from the public than massive machinery doing big work. Different construction categories use different types of heavy equipment to handle their working requirements.

Moving the Earth
Virtually any design in construction starts with moving and shaping the ground underneath. Earthmoving companies employ skilled operators and large fleets of heavy equipment to cut, fill, shape and surface the site to project specifications. Among the construction disciplines, earthwork requires the most use of heavy equipment.

Specialty Operators

In building and bridge construction things can take on a loftier perspective than in the earthwork field. This work often requires skilled hoist and crane operators to field and help place sometimes massive elements and materials with precision hundreds of feet in the air.
